Footy or ballet?

my foot

So this explains all that kicking inside. Hehehe. :P
Hubby and I went for our first ultrasound yesterday in the city. It was quite a wait behind four other mums in line, but it sure was worth every minute of it. The anticipation and excitement for our turn was growing with every mum leaving the clinic. During our turn, watching our bub was nothing short of overwhelming. Neither of us could properly catch our breath throughout the show, and just as when we were recovering from seeming hyperventilation, the bill took our breath away again. :D

Oh well. No one said parenthood came without a price.

Love is having your child puke on you and you don’t care. Take the time to look into the eyes of your child and allow yourself to bond and love that child. You will be thankful you did.

Ah the memories invoked by your “sharing” story…..we didn’t have those choices in “my day”…. We had to wait and wonder from day one!….now so much is revealed….enjoy every day of your pregnancy and relax knowing that “everything is in hand”….As for the bill, it’s only money - and realistically translates into about 3 months supply of disposal nappies…. Love and joy to both parents…it is only the beginning of a beautiful relationship.

they should have informed you of the fee at the outset, so you could be prepared or choose not to go ahead with it. why have scans anyway?

how much does an ultrasound cost?

Re ultrasound.. I was actually forewarned by my referring doctor that it can be costly. According to him, “a bit more than $100…” which was close to the one quoted in one of the handed brochures from the bounty gift bag. A second quote –a bit over $200– is if you request for a DVD of the ultrasound.

Before the ultrasound, we asked if we could have a few snaps of our bub, and the doctor said that he was even happy to give us a “complementary DVD”. Hmm, so much for what’s complementary these days.
